LRA Presents our Title Holders
The LRA is proud to have within its membership several local and national title-holders. These members have worked hard to contribute to the leather/BDSM community and we congratulate them on their achievements.
Ms Simone - International Ms Olympus 2009
I am very honored to have been awarded this title by my national community. I am hoping to expand our community awareness of leather women and who we are as well as title holding and what it can mean.
As a national educator and lecturer, I seek to assist our community by helping educate where I can.
Note: Ms. Simone is the former Executive Director of LRA, and also holds the title of Great Lakes Ms Leather 2008.
Bootdog - International Mr. Bootblack 2008
Bootdog is a former resident of San Francisco, CA who recently relocated back to the Chicagoland area to further pursue his education. Along with being Mr. International Bootblack 2009, he is a bootblack in residence at LRA, a member of the Alameda County Leather Corps (ACLC) and an associate member of STARS M.C. He has served on the executive boards of both clubs, as well as several committees for each.
Riley Johnson - Great Lakes Bootblack 2007
Riley (Mama's Switch Hitter) is a Chicago-based queer Leatherman who served as Great Lakes Bootblack 2007 before becoming the contest's coordinator. A mild-mannered university administrator by day, Riley can be found happily covered in polish, dye, and grease in Chicago's leather bars after dark.
Riley serves as a Director of LRA Chicago. In addition to his directorial duties, he also serves as a bootblack-in-residence and hosts our monthly cigar social. When not working or volunteering, Riley seeks to promote harm reduction philosophies as they relate to risk-aware consensual kink, through both word and deed.
Lady Isis - Great Lakes (Pup) Handler 2004
Lady Isis is an active member of the Chicago scene with over 10 years of affiliation with the Leather Rose and the LRA. She has served on the LRA Board of Directors first as Vice-President and then as President. In October 2009 she was made President Emeritus by the membership of LRA, a title she is deeply honored to have received.
In the Chicago community, Isis is a regional title holder for Great Lakes (Pup) Handler 2004. In the past she has coordinated toy drives for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots campaign and collected food for charity during IML 2008. She is the organizer of the IML Breakfast, an annual gathering open to all in the BDSM and Leather communities.
Isis is best known as the FemDomme with the infamous tail. An opportunistic instigator who cheerfully avoids taking things too seriously (herself included), Isis takes mischievous delight in intense mind games and impact play. She feels grateful and privileged to have learned with skilled mentors and honored to have had the opportunity to pay it forward by sharing her knowledge as a mentor herself.
Currently Lady Isis is the hostess of the FemDomme Friday nights at the LRA. She remains devoted to the future of the LRA and you can find her with tail and single tail flirting around the club she calls home.
pony - International Ms Bootblack 2009
International Ms Bootblack 2009, pony, is one of four bootblacks in residence at the Leather Rose in Chicago. Most recently, she was honored to receive a nomination for 2010 Pantheon Woman of the Year. Previously, she was named Kentucky Bootblack in 2006 and was the runner up at the GLLA 2006 Bootblack contest. pony has a Masters of Divinity degree from an accredited theological seminary and is an ordained Minister in a mainline Christian denomination. She has taught at Leather Retreat, Anything for Love, LRA Chicago, KUFS, KISS, the Fort Wayne Munch, International Ms Leather, Southwest Leather Conference, the Chicago Defenders, and is one of the producers of the Femme Boot Pride Weekend. She has judged the bootblack contests at Great Lakes Leather Alliance, Mr. Leather Toronto, and Southwest Leather Conference Pony is an associate member of the Louisville Trailblazers. She is owned by Min of Chicago. In her spare time, she teaches figure skating and is trying to perfect the art of being “Supah- slave.”
